Nunavut Arctic College has announced its plans to expand its programming in the near future. Nunatsiaq Online reports that the college is interested in expanding its management program to offer the opportunity for students to pursue a four-year degree. Currently, the college offers a two-year diploma and a one-year management certificate in management and business administration. The new degree would be offered through a partnership with Memorial University and would involve instructors from both institutions. The college also announced that it will be expanding the first year of its teacher education program to more communities this year. Students in towns such as Arctic Bay, Chesterfield Inlet, and Kinngait will be able to begin their studies without needing to move away from home, explained Arctic College Dean of Education, Inuit, and University Studies Peesee Pitsiulak.
