The British Columbia Institute of Technology has celebrated the soft opening of the Health Sciences Centre, which is located on the Burnaby Campus. The centre will act as a hub for applied healthcare education and will provide support for 32 programs. The centre will include resources such as living laboratories, simulation spaces, and collaborative project-based learning spaces that will foster interdisciplinary learning. The low carbon emission building targets WELL Gold certification and is aligned with CleanBC objectives. The centre will begin welcoming students in Fall 2022. “The new BCIT Health Sciences Centre is a critical investment in our ability to train, empower, and deliver the graduates the BC healthcare system needs,” said BCIT President Kathy Kinloch.
