The British Columbia Institute of Technology has launched Flexible Learning, a new department that will encompass the institute’s part-time courses, micro-credentials, industry services, and more. Formerly known as BCIT’s Part-time Studies department, Flexible Learning will offer learners an a la carte approach to upskilling in the form of short, accredited, self-paced learning options. “Accelerated demographic shifts in the workforce and economic challenges across industries have heightened the need for quick and relevant upskilling to fulfill in-demand jobs,” said BCIT AVP Academic Operations Jennifer Figner. “BCIT Flexible Learning answers this need.” BCIT Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
