Cambrian relaunches hospitality management diploma program

Cambrian College has announced that it is relaunching its hospitality management diploma program. The program is welcoming its first cohort of students in May 2022 after being inactive for 10 years. Students will complete a variety of courses in areas such as beverages and food, accounting, gaming and casinos, hospitality law and risk management, and Indigenous business and economics; and take part in a seven-week placement. The program aims to help students study and stay in the northern Ontario region to address labour market needs. “The hospitality sector has been especially hard-hit since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Cambrian dean of the schools of business and IT Brian Lobban. “This program will help rebuild the hospitality workforce that was devastated by the pandemic.” CBC| Northern Ontario Business Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
