The Government of Canada has announced an investment of nearly $4.5M through the Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program to support projects being undertaken at Northlight Innovation, the first innovation hub North of 60. The hub houses Yukon University’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E), which fosters business growth and innovation to support early-stage entrepreneurs and businesses. The funding will support I&E, as well as the Yukonstruct Society. “The team at Innovation and Entrepreneurship is as nimble and dynamic as the innovators and entrepreneurs they support in bringing exciting new business ideas to fruition,” said YukonU President Dr Lesley Brown. “This is an investment in the bold, brilliant and daring creativity of the North and the eco-system in which it thrives.” YukonU Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
