Canada’s Ocean Supercluster and its partners the Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE), the College of the North Atlantic, Nova Scotia Community College, and the Joint Economic Development Initiative (JEDI) have announced a $920K Blue Mentorship and Leadership Pathways Project. The project aims to create a system for professional advancement in the ocean sector by connecting industry mentors to ocean technology entrepreneurs and providing emerging leaders from underrepresented and visible minority communities with employment opportunities. The project will also connect participating Ocean Supercluster members through project activities and mentorship opportunities. Participants will receive toolkits that provide evidence-based strategies for finding and developing talent, discuss the benefits of a diverse workforce, and provide guidance for accessing the largest possible pool of talent.
