Colleges and Institutes Canada has made 137 new virtual simulations for healthcare educators freely accessible as part of its Virtu-WIL initiative. The simulations were created by educators from 31 postsecondary institutions to give students in nursing, medical laboratory sciences, and paramedicine innovative, hands-on learning experiences. “These new virtual simulations are exceptional learning tools that make the journey from education to employment flexible, equitable, and accessible to all,” said CICan President Denise Amyot. Thanks to renewed funding, Virtu-WIL will also continue for two more years and will expand to create new simulations for sonography students.
