Concordia launches Applied AI Institute

Concordia University has announced the launch of the Applied AI Institute. The institute will embark on interdisciplinary activities, partnerships, and initiatives to apply artificial intelligence (AI) solutions to problems in a variety of sectors. “The institute has been a multidisciplinary network from inception,” says Paula Wood-Adams, Concordia’s interim vice-president of research and graduate studies, “and the new co-director appointments acknowledge the value of collaboration that we will continue to deliver to society, science and emerging technologies.” The institute will be led by co-directors Tristan Glatard and Fenwick McKelvey.
