Durham College has launched an Honours Bachelor of Community Mental Health (HBMH) program. Students in the new degree program will learn how to provide mental health support and contribute to healthy communities, and will receive training in areas such as psychology, counselling, health promotion, and social justice. The program also includes a mandatory field placement which gives students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in the industry. “Our excellence in blending theoretical education with experiential learning opportunities will give our students a competitive advantage among other new graduates and help them lead the way in the evolving landscape of mental health,” said Durham President Don Lovisa.
