École de technologie supérieure has received a $3.76M investment from the Government of Canada for advanced equipment acquisition. ÉTS will use the new equipment to develop new manufacturing processes that use high-performance materials with low environmental impact. The equipment will also strengthen the institution’s research and development activities with small and medium sized aerospace enterprises. “The ÉTS is proud to drive the development of a more sustainable industry and economy,” said ÉTS CEO François Gagnon. “The advanced equipment acquired thanks to [Canada Economic Development’s] funding will enable us to establish new research collaborations with our private partners, in particular to reduce fuel consumption by airplanes and make their components easier to recycle at the end of their lifecycle.” Newswire| Direction informatique (FR) Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
