Franco-Ontarian universities propose dedicated network like UQuebec

The Université de l’Ontario français and the Université de Hearst have reportedly presented a report to the Government of Canada and Government of Ontario that proposes the creation of a network of francophone universities like the Université de Quebec network called Réseau des universités francophones de l’Ontario (RUFO). The network would feature a governance committee and would share the management of recruitment, student services, and IT. RUFO could additionally integrate the Université de Sudbury if it receives accreditation, reports CBC. Bilingual universities would be able to partner with the network but would not be eligible to become full members. CBC reports that neither government has studied the report at this time.
