George Brown College has launched a Universal design for Learning (UDL) e-course that will support Ontario educators in developing accessible courses. The course aims to guide curriculum and educational technology specialists, instructional designers, faculty, accessibility consultants, and others in strategies that make courses more accessible, increase engagement, and enhance student experience. UDL is paired with equity frameworks and initiatives that support student learning and honour learner diversity. “We’re demonstrating thought leadership and advancing research around UDL implementation and best practices in the province,” said George Brown Manager of UDL Implementation Ravinder Brar.
