George Brown receives donation for construction of wooden building with multi-purpose learning space

George Brown College has received a $600K donation from The Daniels Corporation to support the construction of a multi-purpose learning space in its Limberlost Place expansion. The three-storey wood building will house George Brown’s School of Architectural Studies and the School of Computer Technology, as well as a childcare space, a Truth and Reconciliation area, and the Brookfield Sustainability Institute. “I extend my sincerest thanks to the Daniels Corporation for this generous gift,” said George Brown President Dr Gervan Fearon. “Limberlost Place will provide an exciting and innovative environment for our community and at its heart will be the Daniels Learning Landscape — a hub where students can connect, collaborate and study.” George Brown Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
