Great Plains attains full grant eligibility from SSHRC, NSERC

Great Plains College has attained full grant eligibility status from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC). The college completed a rigorous application process and provided proof of compliance requirements to gain the status, and is now able to pursue SSHRC and NSERC grants to support applied research projects. “We recognize the vital importance of research – the new knowledge and applications that it creates, the insightful and skilled human resources that are required and developed, the opportunity for student involvement with the research process, as well as the importance of peer review,” said Great Plains President David Keast. “This status ensures that funded applied research will meet the highest standards of excellence.” Great Plains Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
