Hamilton CRP publishes reports tracking Hamilton students from kindergarten through to PSE graduation

The Hamilton Community Research Partnership has published its first set of research reports on student pathways to and through Hamilton postsecondary institutions. Using the Ontario Education Number (OEN), the researchers connected data across multiple school boards and postsecondary institutions to produce insights into the pathways of students in Hamilton. “By linking data from K-12 through postsecondary, we can illuminate those pathways and researchers can shine the light on barriers that we know exist and inform policy to break them down,” said McMaster University Registrar Melissa Pool. The partnership is comprised of McMaster University, Mohawk College, the Hamilton-Wentworth public and Catholic school boards, the Hamilton Community Foundation, and the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario (HEQCO).
