K-12 students receive new supports to pursue healthcare, agriculture in PSE

The Canadian Scholarship Trust (CST) Inspired Minds Learning Project has invested in two projects that will help students prepare for postsecondary training. The CST supports lower-income Canadian K-12 students succeed in school and pursue postsecondary education. In Winnipeg, the Medical Careers Exploration Program will introduce Indigenous students to the healthcare field through on-site practicums, a specialized curriculum, and mentorships in order to encourage them to pursue postsecondary-level studies in the sector. In Chilliwack, students at Sardis Secondary School will be able to learn about sustainable horticulture education and prepare for future postsecondary and employment opportunities as they engage in farm- and field-based experiences.
