Memorial University has announced that it will be offering three course-based master’s programs to help address the need for workers in the technology sectors. Memorial will be offering a master of applied science in software engineering, a master of data science, and a master of artificial intelligence. “A larger number of graduates in specialized computer fields of high demand by employers will support the rapid growth of Newfoundland and Labrador’s, and Canada’s, technology sector,” said Dean of Memorial’s Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science Dr Greg Naterer. “It will also address challenges with the present talent shortage of computer professionals in the province.” The programs are scheduled to start in Fall 2022.
