Northern College and the Justice Institute of British Columbia have formed a partnership that will create new opportunities for graduates of Northern’s Emergency Management, Terrorism and Pandemic Response Graduate Certificate. Eligible graduates will be able to enroll in and complete a four-year Bachelor of Emergency and Security Management at JIBC in two years. Students can complete the bachelor’s degree completely online, making it more accessible to students. “This sector is growing in an unprecedented way,” said Northern’s Emergency Management, Terrorism and Pandemic Planning Program co-ordinator Michelle Gervais. “[Natural disasters and pandemics] are increasing in their frequency and the need for those with the unique training to coordinate and plan responses is growing in step.” Timmins Today| JIBC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
