NS Public Health investigating incidents of meningococcal disease at Dal

Nova Scotia Public Health is investigating two cases of meningococcal disease at Dalhousie University. The university reports that both of the students lived in Shirreff Hall, and that one of the students has died. An outbreak has been declared for the Shirreff Hall residence and Public Health is holding vaccination clinics and arranging vaccines for eligible students. “We recognize the anxiety and uncertainty this sort of news creates for our community,” the university stated. “This an extremely difficult time for our students living in Shirreff Hall, our community who supports our students, and the family and friends of the students impacted.” Dal| Global News| CTV News Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
