Okanagan launches tuition-free ECE-WIL program

Okanagan College has announced that it is piloting a tuition-free work-integrated learning program for Early Childhood Education. Student-educators will have the opportunity to become certified as they take part in WIL experiences through the new ECE-WIL program. “Okanagan College is keenly aware of how many trained ECEs are in demand across the sector,” said Okanagan AVP Educational Services Yvonne Moritz. “This pilot project … will increase access to education for people seeking certification, going a long way to meeting that need.” The program is funded by the Government of British Columbia’s Ministry of Advance Education and Skills Training.
