The Government of Ontario has announced a $4M investment into collaborations between industry and the postsecondary education and research sectors. The investment will support a new online portal called the Ontario Collaborative Innovation Platform (OCIP), which matches industry professionals with postsecondary resources to streamline pathways to research and commercialization. These partnerships are expected to provide hands-on opportunities for students and to create jobs and build a resilient economy. “By helping businesses remain at the forefront of their sector while giving students valuable work experiences, we will not only help industry succeed today, but also ensure Ontario’s innovation capacity is stronger for tomorrow,” said eCampusOntario CEO Robert Luke.
