The Rogers Foundation has made a $90M gift to the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research (TRCHR), which is matched with $94.2M in institutional support and fundraising. The gift will be put toward research done by the TRCHR’s institutional partners: the Hospital for Sick Children, University Health Network, and the University of Toronto. The funds will support research that will use patients’ genetic, biological, and environmental profiles to optimize their treatment, prevent heart failure, and help them avoid hospitalization. “Countless people across Canada and around the globe will benefit from this latest landmark benefaction to the Ted Rogers Centre for Heart Research,” said U of T President Meric Gertler.
