The University of Alberta will establish a new research chair in cardiovascular science in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, thanks to a $5M donation from the CVC Cardiovascular Health Foundation. The chair will help drive advancements in research, improve health outcomes for patients, boost collaboration across disciplines at UAlberta, and expand research partnerships. “We say research is a team sport,” said UAlberta Distinguished Professor of Medicine Paul Armstrong, who underscored the value of promoting partnerships and collaboration for cardiovascular science research. “Patients do better if they’re being cared for by a team of people.”
