The University of Calgary has announced the creation of the new Department of Biomedical Engineering (BEM) at the Schulich School of Engineering. The department will use a multidisciplinary approach to bring together undergraduate and graduate programming, research, and scholarly activities, and will foster collaboration and teamwork. “This new department will be an anchor of multi-faculty biomedical engineering activities,” said interim department head Dr Michael Kallos. “Faculty, students and postdocs have been able to enjoy working with researchers from across the campus and those unique relationships and experiences will continue going forward.” UCalgary Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
