UCalgary introduces entrepreneurship program for nurses, health-care professionals

The University of Calgary’s Faculty of Nursing is introducing a new Professional Practice Entrepreneurship graduate certificate. Designed for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health-care professionals, this online program will provide learners with the skills needed to launch and lead their own practices. Specifically, it will build upon their clinical expertise to develop their skills in business operations, compliance, technology, and strategy. “With nearly half of Canadian nurses leaving the profession within just a few years of graduating, we’re creating an opportunity to reimagine what’s possible in their careers, offering pathways for entrepreneurship, innovation and leadership, rather than resignation,” said UCalgary Faculty of Nursing Associate Dean of Graduate Programs Lorelli Nowell.
