An instructor from the Université de Montréal has been suspended after he was filmed at an altercation at Concordia University where he appeared to “hurl insults” at Jewish students, reports Journal de Montréal. UMontréal history instructor Yanise Arab has been suspended with pay while the university conducts an investigation into the incident, and university spokeswoman Geneviève O’Meara said that UMontréal is evaluating whether he should continue to teach the class for the rest of the session. Journal de Montréal reports that Arab’s profile has been deleted from the UMontréal website for security reasons. “The situation is being taken very seriously and we have increased security measures on campus as a precautionary measure,” read a statement from UMontréal.
