The University of New Brunswick will be building a new Health and Social Innovation Centre using $38M in combined federal, provincial, and university funding. The centre will support scientists, innovators, and entrepreneurs and provide teaching and research facilities, learning and study spaces, and a hub for healthcare research and innovation. It will also provide space for a new interdisciplinary undergraduate health program. The building construction will aim for LEED certification and the building development will be connected to walking paths, an underground tunnel system, and the ring road.
