UQAT receives donations to support three projects focused on socioeconomic development

The Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue has received $1M from Desjardins to support three projects focused on socioeconomic development. Desjardins has renewed $500K in funding to support the Chaire Desjardins en développement des petites collectivités, which focuses on finding solutions to the issues that small communities face. Other projects receiving funding include a project focused on creating a specialized farm network for regional stakeholders and the creation of an interdisciplinary healthcare and psychosocial services teaching and research clinic, each of which have received $250K.
