The University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Cancer Agency (SCA), and the Government of Saskatchewan Ministry of Health have collaborated to launch a two-year medical oncology residency program. The residency program will provide opportunities for residents to train and work in with medical oncologists, specialists, and other health care professionals who specialize in cancer care. “Medical oncologists play an integral role in cancer care,” said SCA Interim President Deb Bulych. “We are excited about the prospects and potential this program will offer qualified residents for the SCA and cancer patients across the province.” USask says the program is the first in SK’s history.
