Université de Saint-Boniface has announced the official launch of a network of Métis Elders who will support students and contribute to a welcoming and healthy environment on campus. The network has five Métis Elders who will spend time on campus during the academic year providing students with mentorship, wisdom, and a listening ear. “We have a lot of experience and can offer students a different perspective and another dimension to all kinds of issues,” said Métis Elder Paulette Duguay. “It’s important for me not to judge students, but to listen to them. They are going through an overwhelming time of their lives. They have big decisions to make and I hope to help them as best as I can.” USB Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
