The University of Waterloo and the University Health Network’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance cancer research and address urgent health-care challenges. The partnership aims to bring researchers and medical professionals together to collaborate on AI-driven projects for disease detection, treatment, health system integration, and personalized patient care. It will also create educational opportunities for students by integrating UWaterloo’s cooperative program and establishing collaborative scholarships to support research projects that improve cancer care outcomes. “This MOU is not just a formal agreement, but a pivotal step towards advancing medical technology and improving health care outcomes through collaboration and innovation,” said UWaterloo President Dr Vivek Goel.
