The University of Winnipeg has announced that it is introducing a Certificate in Justice, Law and Rights in the 2026–27 academic year. The certificate includes courses in policing and fundamental elements of law. It is aimed at both current UWinnipeg students and those interested in law school. UWinnipeg Program Director of Human Rights Dr Kristi Kenyon explained that the program will particularly benefit students in the university’s pre-professional law program, in addition to those looking for a designation with a legal focus.
