Vancouver Community College has announced that it is creating a new English as an Additional Language (EAL) curriculum with the Progressive Intercultural Community Services Society (PICS). Using PICS funding, VCC will develop an occupational language curriculum that can be delivered through PICS coaching sessions. The curriculum will provide newcomers with a flexible, convenient way to learn English and will align with Canadian Language Benchmarks to make it easier for students to continue language learning at VCC. “We’re focused on helping students reach their goals at VCC and in the community,” said VCC Department Head of EAL Ken McMorris. “This curriculum gives PICS clients a flexible way to learn language that works with their commitments and schedules.” VCC Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
