Vancouver Island University, Durham College, and Humber College have collaborated on a $480K project that will expand the online learning capacity of six Caribbean nations. The project will focus on increasing online educational capacity and integrating educational technology in Belize, Jamaica, Grenada, Dominica, Guyana, and St Lucia. The project will include an assessment of instructor needs and existing tools, as well as a discussion of the tools that could support an online teaching and learning teacher program. “This will be an opportunity to exchange different theoretical and practical approaches to the work we do,” said VIU Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Specialist Anwen Burk. “This will expand and enrich my knowledge of the field and I look forward to applying this knowledge to the work I do at VIU.” VIU Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
