An interdisciplinary team out of York University has received $1.65M to support its new CREATE-Microsystems Technologies and Application program (CREATE-MTA). The team will collaborate to provide students with comprehensive training on a full range of microsystems technologies and the full design-application lifecycle. The program will be based at the York Microfabrication Facility, and will include internships with industry partners and dedicated training in relevant skills. “This program will prepare CREATE-MTA graduates with the necessary skills to design, optimize, and apply microsystems, and help them to become employable in the fast-growing microfabrication sector in Canada,” said YorkU Lassonde School of Engineering Professor Regina Lee.
