Northern College and Northlands College have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to work together to increase access to education. The collaboration will focus on northern and remote communities, Truth and Reconciliation through program delivery, and labour market and economic development. Future collaborative work will include natural resource development, sustainable energy, and environmental management. “Sharing knowledge, understanding and insights is the basis of our role as educators,” said Northern President Audrey Penner. “Finding like-minded institutions who are addressing the same opportunities and embracing similar challenges while sharing in the same values-based approach to learning and reconciliation is a powerful first step towards achieving these outlined goals to strengthen community.” Northern News| Timmins Daily Press Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
