Conestoga opens new innovation lab, receives leadership gift to support new campus

Conestoga College has opened a new innovation lab, which is part of the Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective. The lab is located at the Communitech Hub in Kitchener. It will broaden the opportunities for student entrepreneurs within the Waterloo region, and will provide a collaboration space for Venture Lab program tech entrepreneurs. Communitech will provide programs and services to support those using the lab. Conestoga has also received a leadership gift from the Cowan Foundation that will support expansion of the college’s new Skilled Trades campus. “We are deeply grateful for the leadership of The Cowan Foundation in supporting Conestoga’s efforts to address the needs of our growing community, foster innovation and create new opportunities,” said Conestoga president John Tibbits.
