AB funds initiative to attract international students, work-integrated learning expansion

The Government of Alberta has recently made two announcements related to investments in the areas of international student recruitment and work-integrated learning. The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology has received $1M to establish the Alberta Bureau for International Education (ABIE), an independent non-profit organization that will showcase AB PSE to prospective international students. AB is also investing $6M over the next three years to support the creation of 1,200 work-integrated learning opportunities. The funding will be used to integrate new industry associations into the Work-integrated Learning Industry Voucher Expansion program by creating work placements there, developing WIL programming, and developing new partner associations.
