The Government of Alberta has announced that it is investing $5.6M to create over 880 new seats at postsecondary institutions in central Alberta. This funding is the latest in a series of investments creating new seats across Alberta, including in the Calgary, southern AB, Edmonton, and northeastern AB regions. The funding will support seats in 10 programs, including veterinary assistant technician, business administration, animation and visual effects, and health care. Burman University will receive $600K, Red Deer Polytechnic will receive $4.5M, and Olds College will receive over $434K. “We greatly appreciate that the Alberta government worked with post-secondary institutions to create real solutions for these high-demand programs,” said Burman VP Academic Administration Noble Donkor.
