Assiniboine Community College has collaborated with Roquette to develop and deliver two new programs: the Chemical Engineering Technology Diploma and the Food Science Diploma programs. The programs will be housed in the Prairie Innovation Centre for Sustainable Agriculture and will focus on training new talent to address the labour shortage in the plant-based food and ingredients industry. Each program takes three years to complete. ACC will work with Roquette to identify the skills needed in the industry and develop the curriculum, and will also partner with Indigenous processors, communities, and Elders and Knowledge keepers.
