Algoma launches Tailwind-designed mental wellness awareness program

Algoma University has launched a new mental wellness awareness program designed by Tailwind, stating that it is the first Canadian university to use this tool for all incoming students. The program will help incoming students prepare for the mental stresses associated with the academic journey, and gather their perspectives to build better mental health support programs. The program is also available to current students. “We recognize having access to equitable and diverse student wellness supports leads to high levels of academic achievement,” stated Algoma student success and wellbeing director Karen Hudson.
