BCIT introduces “Tidy Ted” to custodial team

The British Columbia Institute of Technology has a new, robotic member on the custodial team: Tidy Ted. Tidy Ted is an T380AMR Robotic Floor Scrubber that autonomously cleans the floors at the School of Health Sciences using electrically charged water. Students, faculty, and staff from BCIT’s School of Health Sciences voted on Tidy Ted’s name and his new custom vinyl wrap, which features a white jacket and stethoscope. “We’re always looking for ways to enhance custodial while aligning with digitization and technology,” said BCIT Custodial Services Manager Joanne Turnbull, Manager. “Our Facilities team were excited when BEST suggested bringing the T380 to BCIT.” BCIT| BEST Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
