Brandon University and the Brandon Flight Centre (BFC) are collaborating to integrate aviation options into several BrandonU degree programs. BrandonU reviewed the ground school and in-flight training offered by BFC and concluded that students who have completed flight training can receive over a year’s worth of credit hours towards a degree program. “During the assessment process, the three departments involved were keen to explore how this flight training could enhance their degree’s skills base” said BrandonU Prior Learning and Recognition (PLAR) Co-ordinator Gary McNeely. “We are still exploring more ways flight training could elevate a BU education.” BrandonU Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
