Camosun College has announced that it has renamed its teaching and learning centre to honour Dr Lloyd Morin, who is the only surviving member of the college’s first administration council. The college states that the Dr Lloyd Morin Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning recognizes Morin’s role as a founding leader of the college. “Dr Morin helped establish an understanding of the concept of a community college and created guidelines for outcomes-focused course design, as well as developing new programs,” said Camosun President Dr Lane Trotter. “Renaming the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is an appropriate recognition of the work of Dr. Morin whose legacy continues to this day.” Victoria News Note: Archived stories may contain dead links or be missing source links.
