Canada funds foundational skills training in MB

The Government of Canada has announced funding to support foundational skills training in Manitoba. MB will invest over $3.8M in Workplace Education Manitoba, which will help train 120 people as certified Skills for Success practitioners. Practitioners will design and deliver skills training tailored to the specific needs of 60 workplaces, primarily in manufacturing. Around 500 workers across Canada are predicted to benefit from this training. “As new industries emerge, and the ways we work evolve, we need to ensure Canadians have the foundational skills to adapt and thrive in any workplace,” said Minister of Employment, Workforce Development, and Disability Inclusion, Carla Qualtrough.
