Cégep de Trois-Rivières has received over $6M from the Government of Quebec toward the construction of the Centre d’innovation des produits cellulosique. The centre, which has received a combined total of $9.24M in supports, will focus on cellulose product innovation and will contain the resources needed to accelerate sustainable papermaking technologies. The institution’s collégial de transfert de technologie will use the centre to develop new bio-based processes and products, as well as accelerating technological development in the areas of thermomoulded products, surface treatment, fiber functionalization, biomass conditioning, and thermochemical conversions.
