Colleges & Institutes Canada (CICan) has announced a new three-year International Strategy that focuses on Internationalization and global engagement as a way of futureproofing the college and institute network in Canada. The strategy is built on three pillars: futureproofing Canada; bringing the world to Canada; and taking Canada to the world. The strategy encourages student mobility, diversification in student recruitment, and capacity-building for internationalization strategies. The strategy is also aligned with CICan’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, and includes frameworks for institutional collaboration. “This new strategy will guide the college and institute sector and ensure that our work contributes to a more equitable and sustainable world,” said CICan President Denise Amyot.
