Collège Boréal to receive over $8M to develop French-language programming

Collège Boréal will receive over $8M in funding from the governments of Canada and Ontario. The funding will support the college as it develops French-language bachelor’s degrees that will meet the labour and training needs of Northern Ontario. It will also support increased access to education for those located in rural regions. Canada will provide $5.1M over three years towards the project, while ON will provide $2.9M. “Thanks to this generous investment by the federal and provincial governments, our competent teams are ready to set up bachelor’s degree programs that will prepare the next generation of Francophone and bilingual citizens,” said Collège Boréal President Daniel Giroux.
