Concordia University has launched the Art Volt Collection (AVC), an initiative that will support artists as they begin careers within the field. AVC will help with business transactions, provide professional development, and enable artists to network with collectors. Collectors can browse student and graduate work on a digital gallery and can reserve pieces for purchase or rental. “No other university offers a launch pad like this to its fine arts graduates,” said Concordia Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Annie Gérin. “It is a natural extension of the education we offer, and an important step forward in professionalizing emerging artists.” The program will be expanded to include the performing arts over the next year.
