The Black Health Education Collaborative (BHEC)–cofounded by Dalhousie University Assistant Professor Dr OmiSoore Dryden and University of Toronto Assistant Professor Dr Onye Nnorom–has launched a primer to advance inclusion and equity in the Canadian healthcare system. The Black Health Primer comprises a set of online courses about Black health and anti-Black racism in medicine and public healthcare. The primer is designed for students, faculty, educators, and practitioners in Canada. “By providing education on the issues that Black communities are facing in their everyday lives, the racism they encounter in health care and better anti-racist approaches to care, we […] believe the primer can improve the quality of care Black Canadians are receiving,” explained Nnorom.
